Les Marmitons of Keowee is a men's cooking club affiliated with Les Marmitons International.  Our chapter generally meets on the second Monday of each month with the exception of December, June, July, and August, at The Club at Keowee Key near Salem, SC.

For each month that we cook we seek an outstanding chef to work with us, then a small group of our members visit that chef's place of business, and working with the chef, select a menu for our cooking event.  Using the chef's recipes for the selected menu, we choose wines to pair with the different courses and we purchase the ingredients for the cooking event.  On the evening of our event, the chef joins us as we prepare the courses under his tutelage, and after we dine on each course accompanied by the wine that our sommelier has chosen for that course, we ask the chef to critique how well our members performed in preparing the dish.
